Hello sportsfans :)
We've been back in North Carolina for almost a month now. Time has definitely flown by. The end of January seemed to crawl, (or maybe that was just me being sick and miserable) but suddenly everything is speeding up and we're heaving a sigh of relief that we've only two weeks left to go before heading back to KC.
It's hard to go, knowing we don't have a house to come back to here, knowing we're leaving behind family and friends. We've had such wonderful times with you guys...it's been the total highlight and purpose of our existance these past few weeks :) But living in transition, in limbo, inbetween, is starting to wear us down.
The mid places are difficult, being neither here nor there. We're aching to be in one place, settled. Looking for work and having all of our stuff in one house! (A smaller house, but one house!)
John is being "mr. housewife" these days. I'm still pretty unable to cook or clean - pushes me over the edge into hugging the toilet bowl :) He's doing a fantabulous job and, with a big clean up by Daniel and Tricia, the house is pretty liveable...despite its ever increasing boxed up condition.
I am still nauseous around the clock, (accupuncture has saved me) but it's definitely begun to lessen the past two weeks...until Tuesday of this week, when I started feeling really nasty again. The past two days have been me upchucking but it was a great opportunity to clean the bathrooms...since I reasoned I couldn't possibly feel more sick then I was at the moment! (Good to stay rational while losing your breakfast and lunch, I think. You get more done that way.) It was a Valentines Day to remember.
I had a great time at Tai chi, Monday, with Tricia...I definitely think I'll go back again...just the sort of stretching, low impact, breathing, aerobic execise I need.
John has had both his car and bike fixed up a bit; he's also been enjoying StarCraft...haven't played that in EONS!
The dogs are out of control, lacking both space and the manpower to give them Cesar Milans proscribed plan for happy dogs. (Exercise, Discipline, and then Affection.) Mostly it's: Bored, Ignored, and Petted these days...poor dogs. We'll have crazy remedial work to do when we get back home.
The baby is now almost two inches long (at almost 12 weeks.) John thinks it's a boy...but, admittedly, only because he thinks he'll have an easier time relating to a boy. I wanted a boy first my whole life, but as I've had so much of my femininity healed (even just over the past year) I really look forward to having daughters. Well, we'll know in a couple more weeks.
Those are the basics...no gory details of heart, hearth, or health ;)
